Badstrip es una de las bandas norteamericanas que más me ha sorprendido últimamente. Provienen de Pórtland y San Francisco y facturan un Punk’n’Roll cargadito de energía que es realmente ideal para cargar las pilas en momentos duros o en los que se necesita de un buen empujón para tirar hacia delante.

Canciones que te demuestran que no todo está escrito en esto del Rock’n’Roll, y que la actitud Punk es algo necesario en nuestras vidas, tanto en la música como en el día a día, y que aún hay gente con ganas de patearte el culo con sus canciones y a golpes de guitarra.

Imagen, actitud, muy buenas maneras….todo lo ideal para que una banda funcione, con un sonido muy clásico que lo hace adictivo y que te hace pensar en lo injusto que es que bandas como esta juegue en divisiones inferiores, puesto que son auténticos trabajadores del R’n’R y lo dan todo en cada tour o concierto.

Aquí no ha adornos, no sobra ni falta nada, tampoco nos descubren nada nuevo, pero cada tema es una pequeña joyita que merece ser descubierta en soledad, un producto que a mi personalmente no me suena nada “americano” y que bien podría venir del norte de Europa, y eso, en una banda Yanki es algo que agradezco mucho.

Badstrip formed in the streets of San Francisco Ca. in 2005. Badstrip brings a high energy brand of Punk and Roll that lets people remember that rock makes you roll, and that punk is an attitude. J.D. Scott fronts Badstrip and belts out lyrics preaching from the Bible of Rock and Roll. Ange Andrews (guitar), Tony Guerrero (guitar), Bryan Coons (bass), and Vince Bedford (drums) bash out the fist pumping music that captures the audience’s attention and brings them along for the ride. Badstrip combines all that is good from their rock and roll and punk influences and puts their own spin on what could be the future of Rock and Roll.
Badstrip is an act not to be missed as they burn up stages with their live show, leaving a trail of the newly converted. For over five Years, Badstrip has been hitting the gravel and touring the Western U.S. , bringing their brand of Punk and Roll to fans in 11 States. The new full length CD titled “Lady Frankenstein” is due to be released in the summer of 2010. This tight Rock n Roll machine will leave you humming their tunes, and will have you once again believing that rock is not dead . . . it's just been resting . . . until now!
